WHAT OUR CLIENTS HAVE TO SAY
Of course, we can tell you about all the great aspects to our business, but there’s nothing quite like hearing it direct from some satisfied customers. Here are some comments from just a small selection of our very happy clients:
My wife and I would like to record our thanks, for the work that you carried out, in planning and overseeing and completing the work on our new bathroom and separate toilet. All the construction was of excellent quality, was cost effective and to the highest specification and we were both impressed by your attention to detail. The final cost was within your original estimate, as was the time frame that you proposed. The plumber, electrician and tiler all arrived at the specified times and under your supervision completed their tasks to a high standard. We would have no hesitation in recommending you and your company for any building project, be that a new build or renovation.
Vicki and I wish to thank you for our home renovation project that you recently completed for us. Vicki and I are delighted with our home, the high standard of finish, your consideration of cost throughout the renovation, your level of communication throughout the whole project and your attention to detail certainly made the experience less stressful for us. The ideas and alternatives you presented to us during the planning and building process were appreciated, together with your knowledge of the latest building products allowed us to make informed decisions along the way.
We must also thank you for the sub contractors you used on our job, in particular Clint who did the paint finish from Brett Casey Painters and Alan Burns and his team of gibstoppers. Their combined high level of skill certainly complimented your workmanship and created the finish we have now got.
At times there was a need for you to work in with other contractors on our site, you were flexible, adaptable and accommodating to our needs and their needs. You were very professional when dealing with Council Inspectors throughout the numerous mandatory inspections that were required to be undertaken.
We enjoyed working with you throughout our whole renovation and transformation project. Paul, we have no hesitation in recommending your workmanship and services to any prospective client and we would be more than happy to provide such a reference. Vicki and I wish you and your family all the very best for the future and thank you again for our home.
Paul Mason has recently completed the construction of our family home in Appleby. Paul was contracted to manage the sub trades and complete the building construction. We obtained three quotes and elected to go with Mainland Homes because of both the price quoted and the known quality of workmanship.
Paul was easy to talk with throughout the process, both prior to and during the build. He was well researched and had a good knowledge of the products we wanted to use on our build.
Paul certainly displayed a high work ethic, an eye for detail and took pride in his work. The quality of the workmanship on our home is second to none and we were regularly getting feedback and comments from tradespeople regarding the high quality of the work. He is a real perfectionist.
Mainland Homes proved to be an excellent choice for the job. Paul was organised and thorough in his work. He has delivered a high quality home that we are extremely pleased with.
We would be happy to recommend Mainland Homes to anyone who appreciates a high standard of construction and a quality finish to their project.
Two years ago we moved to Nelson to our new home in Monaco. We loved our outlook and position but as the house was originally built as a bach and had various additions over the years it clearly needed major renovations to improve internal layout, fittings and fixtures including replacement wallboards, ceilings, kitchen and bathroom.
Paul was recommended to us when we were looking for a builder to do the renovation work. He was recommended by a neighbour who was very happy with work completed on his house and also independently by another tradesman who did other work for us.
Mainland Homes have recently completed the renovations and we are very pleased with the result. It is now a pleasure to live in our home.
Paul was always helpful with suggestions that met both cost and design requirements. We wanted the renovations to be sympathetic to the relaxing seaside feel of a ‘bach’ and the age of the property. During the work we lived next door so we were on site every day and were able to fully observe all stages of the project.
The workmanship was excellent. Paul won’t accept second best, everything had to be spot-on. There was absolutely no ‘she’ll be right attitude’. Paul organised tradesman for the electrical, plumbing, drainage, internal plastering and external stucco plastering. These tradesmen were also excellent in attitude and work and confirmed they liked working with Paul due to the high quality of his work.
We would be happy to talk with anyone needing a personal recommendation as we are so very pleased with the work we had done.
Paul Mason of Mainland Homes (2001) Limited built our new home on Pugh Road, Hope. Mainland Homes were a pleasure to deal with. Paul provides an excellent level of workmanship and is always professional. He is great at explaining the building process and very approachable. We love our new home and we would definitely use Mainland Homes again.
Paul works to a very high standard and I would not hesitate to recommend Mainland Homes for any job, big or small. Paul is dedicated to providing the very best service and an excellent finish to any task. I have found his work to be far superior than other contractors previously used and will be using his services again in the future.
In November 2009 we purchased Flora’s Cottage in Hart Rd, which was in a somewhat run down condition, to renovate as our “live happily ever after in” retirement home as the property we were on was too large to manage comfortably. Rather than move my mother-in-law’s granny flat to Hart Rd, we decided to build a studio onto the back of the cottage. Paul Mason was one of the builders on this build.
We were so impressed with his carpentry skills and attention to detail that when the build was finished, we employed him for renovating various parts of the original cottage. Paul has many traits that appealed to us. He is very careful & accurate in his work, not easy in a house that is no longer plumb or square. His finishing work is exceptional, very important in timber houses where the work shows and is not covered by plaster or filler. He does not take short cuts, everything is done properly even if it’s not visible. In short, he is a craftsman who cares.
We would employ him again & recommended him to our son for his new house build……he didn’t disappoint.
